Don’t make a wish

It takes nothing to join the crowd. It takes everything to stand alone.
— Hans F Harsen

As I blew out the candles on top of my 35th birthday cake last night, I vowed to start a new tradition.

Instead of 'making a wish', each year I will now be 'making a promise'.

I figure, life's not what I wish it, but what I make it.

I will make a promise to myself to keep doing the work so that I keep showing up unashamedly as myself. Me in the way the universe put me here to be.

I will promise to keep serving from my heart, each and every day.

The next time you blow out your birthday candles...don't make a wish, make a promise.

Natasha
